Notice: Plan Commission Member Needed

The Town of Bayfield is seeking letters of interest from town residents willing to serve on the seven-member Plan Commission. There is currently one open position with a renewable term ending in 2027.  The Plan Commission serves as an advisory committee to the Bayfield Town Board, with a focus on land use, zoning, and long-term planning decisions as they relate to the Town of Bayfield Comprehensive Plan.  Duties include attending monthly meetings and occasional special and/or sub-committee meetings, assisting with recommendations on incoming Bayfield County Zoning Department Conditional Use applications, and maintaining awareness of issues affecting the township and the Town of Bayfield Comprehensive Plan.  Meeting frequency may be increased or decreased depending on current issues.  Commissioners are paid $75 for each regular monthly meeting attended.  Please send letters of interest highlighting any experience and skills that may be beneficial to the township by: mail to Town of Bayfield, Attn: Plan Commission, 85450 County Hwy J., Bayfield, WI 54814;  email to [email protected]; or place in the drop box at the Town Hall.   Letters should be received by Monday, July 7^th.  A commissioner will be appointed at the Monday, July 14^th Town Board Meeting.  Letters from those not selected will be saved for future consideration.
