PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the Bayfield Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, July 7th, 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Bayfield Town Hall, 85450 County Hwy J, Bayfield, WI 54814.  The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider a petition by the Apostle Highlands Property Owner’s Association (Apostle Highlands Association, Inc.) for removal of property from the boundaries of the Pikes Bay Sanitary District.  The petition applies to all parcels located within the boundaries of the following subdivisions plats, including any certified survey map parcels within the boundaries of such subdivisions: (1) Original Apostle Highlands plat, recorded on 11/01/1989, Doc. No. 382811, Vol. 7 of Plats, pages 9-12; (2) Apostle Highland Wood Addition, recorded on 06/13/1990, Doc. No. 386485, Vol. 7 of Plats, pages 15-16; (3) Apostle Highlands Spring Hill Addition, recorded 07/09/1993, Doc. No. 406433, Vol.7 of Plats, page 23-25, including the Pines of Apostle Highlands Condominium Plat, recorded 09/22/2003, Doc. No. 2003R-484989, Vol. 1 Condominium Plats, Pages 187-189; (4) Apostle Highlands Oak Ridge Addition, recorded 04/21/1995, Doc. No. 418807, Vol. 7 of Plats, Pages 33-34; (5) Apostle Highlands Springhill South, recorded 05/16/1995, Doc. No. 419341, Vol. 7 of Plats, pages 35-36; and (6) Apostle Highlands Nob Hill Addition, recorded 04/21/1995, Doc. No. 418806, Vol. 7 of Plats, pages 31-32. Detailed descriptions of all parcels subject to this petition are available at the Bayfield Town Hall.

Any person may file written comments on the petition for removal of this property from the Pikes Bay Sanitary District.  Any owner of property within the boundary of the area sought to be removed from the Sanitary District may appear at the hearing and offer objections, criticism or suggestions as to the proposed district boundary alteration.  Written comments can be mailed to Town of Bayfield, 85450 County Hwy J, Bayfield, WI 54814, placed in the drop box at the Town Hall, or emailed to [email protected].
