About Our Town

The Town of Bayfield is a rural community located on the Bayfield Peninsula of Northern Wisconsin. Surrounded by the blue waters of Lake Superior and the deep woods of the Bayfield County Forest, our township offers it’s over 600 residents and many visitors endless opportunities for outdoor exploration and recreation. The Town’s unique location lends itself to a thriving orchard community with a rich heritage. Products available range from apples, strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries to honey and wildflowers. Activities available within the township include golfing, hiking, biking, skiing, and snowmobiling among many more.
