ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 
 
The Town of Bayfield is seeking bids for the construction of the Star Route Road Reconstruction Project 
that includes the following major items of work: 
Pulverizing HMA, culvert replacements, culvert lining, clearing & grubbing, slope clearing, earthwork, base aggregate, HMA paving, landscaping and pavement marking.

The Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations:

The contract documents may be viewed and downloaded at www.coleman-engineering.com by selecting 
“Bid Information”. Interested parties may view the contract documents at no cost on the website prior 
to becoming a plan holder. Downloading and printing the contract documents will require registering 
with QuestCDN online (www.questcdn.com). A non-refundable fee of $22.00 will be charged to 
download the contract documents. 

To be considered a plan holder for bids, a contractor must purchase the contract documents. Registering 
as a plan holder is required for all prime contractors and subcontractors, as plan holders will receive 
addenda and other contract document updates via QuestCDN. The plan holders’ list will be available at 
www.coleman-engineering.com. 

Sealed bids marked “Star Route Road Reconstruction” are to be submitted to the office of:

Bids must be received by 5:00 p.m. (local time) on December 11, 2023 at the Town of Bayfield, Town Hall, 
85450 County Highway J, Bayfield, WI 54814. Bids will be publicly opened and read out loud at the Town 
Board meeting on December 11, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. The Town of Bayfield reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids at its discretion. 

No bid shall be accepted unless accompanied by a bid security payable to the Town of Bayfield in an 
amount not less than 5% of the base bid. 

This is a Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP) project. 

Prevailing wage rates will be required for this project
